What Is the Tipster Challenge?

The SoccerBetPredictions Tipster Challenge lets you compete against other football fans by submitting match predictions every week. Your tips are scored on correctness, odds accuracy, and consistency — and the top tipster in each country wins a cash payout every week.

How to Register — Step by Step

Step 1 — Go to the Predictions Page

Head to the Predictions page. Scroll down past the expert picks until you see the Expert Tipster Picks section. You’ll find two buttons: Become a Tipster and Verified Tipsters.

Click “Become a Tipster” — that’s your way in.

Step 2 — Open the Application Form

You’ll land on a page headed Become a Tipster with an Apply Now button. The form is completely free — no payment required at any stage. If you don’t have an account yet, register here first — you’ll need to be logged in to apply. The key field is Your Betting Expertise.

Step 3 — Fill In Your Betting Expertise

Write a short paragraph about yourself as a tipster. Be specific — mention which leagues you analyse, how long you’ve been betting, and your rough win rate if you track it. The SBP team reads every application manually, so vague answers don’t get approved.

Good example:

“EPL specialist, 3 years experience. Focus on BTTS and correct score markets. Tracked a 62% accuracy rate across 120 tips last season. All picks based on team form, injury reports and head-to-head data.”

What not to write:

“Hello, I have good tips. Please approve me.” — This will not be approved.

Step 4 — Submit and Wait for Approval

Hit Submit Tipster Application. You’ll see a green confirmation message and the button changes to ✓ Application Submitted! The SBP team reviews your application and gets back to you. Once approved, you can manage everything from My Account.

How Scoring and the Leaderboard Works

Once approved, every tip you submit earns points based on four things:

The leaderboard resets each season, so new tipsters with a strong run can reach the top. You only compete against tipsters in your own country — check your country’s live leaderboard: SA · ZW · KE · NG.

Pro tip: Set your confidence rating honestly. A 5-star tip that loses hurts your ranking more than a 2-star loss. Save 5 stars for your most researched picks only.

Submitting Tips Once You’re Approved

Once verified, a Submit Tip button appears on your profile and the Predictions page. Pick your match, choose your market (1X2, BTTS, Over/Under, etc.), rate your confidence, and add a short analysis. Tips go into a review queue before going live.

To get the best odds on your tips, check our bookmaker reviews — we only list licensed operators across all four markets, and finding the best price on your selection directly affects your leaderboard score. You can also check the promotions and bonuses page for odds boosts running this week.

The Tipster Challenge is built on trust. These rules protect every legitimate competitor and ensure the weekly payout goes to the right person. Read them. Know them. Play clean.

Instant Ban Offences

The following will result in a permanent ban with no appeal.

Multiple Accounts 🚫

Each person is allowed one account only. Creating, operating, or benefiting from more than one account — whether under your own name, a fake name, or someone else’s identity — results in an immediate permanent ban of all linked accounts. We use IP tracking, device fingerprinting, and registration data to detect duplicates.

• Sharing an account with another person is also prohibited.
• Banned users who create a new account will have that account banned too.
• Any winnings earned via a duplicate account will be forfeited in full.

False or Misleading Registration Information 🚫

Submitting false details — including a fake name, fake email, wrong country, or fabricated betting history in your tipster application — constitutes fraud and results in an immediate ban.

• All accounts must be registered with your real full name.
• Your country must match your actual country of residence.
• Inflating your track record to gain faster approval is grounds for removal.

Any Form of Cheating or Manipulation 🚫

Attempting to manipulate leaderboard standings, tip outcomes, or the review process in any way is cheating. This includes:

• Submitting backdated tips or altering tip timestamps.
• Colluding with other tipsters to inflate scores artificially.
• Using bots, scripts, or automated tools to submit tips.
• Accessing or interfering with another user’s account.
• Exploiting platform bugs or loopholes — report them via the contact page instead.

Copying Other Tipsters’ Picks 🚫

Tips must represent your own independent analysis. Systematically copying another verified tipster’s picks — or submitting identical tips seconds after theirs appear — is a violation. Browse the Predictions page to see what other tipsters are posting, but make sure your tips are your own work.

The Payment Identity Rule — Critical

Your registered account name must exactly match the name on your payment method. If they don’t match, no payment will be made and the prize is forfeited.

SBP will not make payments to third parties, agents, or alternative accounts on any winner’s behalf. Winners may be asked to provide valid ID before payment is processed. Make sure your account details are accurate and up to date at all times.

Use your real full name when registering. Nicknames, usernames, and initials are not accepted for payment verification.

Warning-Level Offences

Tips Submitted After Kick-Off — Tip Voided

All tips must be submitted before the official kick-off time. Any tip submitted after kick-off is automatically voided and scores zero points. Repeated attempts may result in suspension. Keep an eye on the Predictions page for scheduled kick-off times.

Offensive or Misleading Tip Notes — Warning Then Suspension

Tip analysis notes are public. Content that is abusive, discriminatory, deliberately misleading, or spam will be removed without notice. Continued violations after a warning result in account suspension. If you see something that shouldn’t be there, let us know.

Prolonged Inactivity — Leaderboard Reset

Verified tipsters who go more than 4 consecutive weeks without submitting a tip may be removed from the active leaderboard. Your account stays but your leaderboard position resets. Consistency is part of scoring — active tipsters are rewarded. Check the LMS rules for full details on how the scoring cycle works.

General Fair Play Standards

• One person, one account. Your account is yours alone. Never share login details with anyone. Manage your account at My Account.
• Tips must be your own. Base tips on your own analysis. Study our expert guides to develop your edge.
• Real identity required. Register and compete under your real name. Winnings are only paid to verified identities.
• Correct country selection. Compete on the leaderboard for your actual country of residence — SA, ZW, KE, or NG.
• Report bugs, don’t exploit them. Found a platform issue? Contact us. Exploiting it is cheating, full stop.
• SBP decisions are final. The SBP team’s rulings on tips, scores, and disqualifications are binding. The appeals process is your only recourse.

If your account has been actioned and you believe it was a mistake, you may submit a formal appeal via the Contact page within 7 days of the decision. Include your registered email and a clear explanation. Appeals are reviewed within 5 business days.

Note: permanent bans for verified cheating are not eligible for appeal.
